Designer Spotlight: Villet by Kelly D. Jones

Villet Jewelry is brand new to the shelves at J.Karma but has quickly become a favorite. Kelly is local to Philadelphia and a customer of ours! She has collected vintage keys and hand watch parts and constructed them into wearable necklaces. Kelly just brought us some new stuff that I am totally obsessing over. They are lockets made out of watch pieces! You have to see them! Adorable! The jewelry is great, the designer is a doll, and we love to support the locals!

One of My Favorite Things.

I'm going to try something a little different. I am going to try to write a post about one of my favorite items in the store. Maybe like once a weekish? I say this with uncertainty because maybe it will be more than that! It seems that everyday I fall in love with something else, not to mention that soon we will start receiving all of our Spring inventory. Oh brother this retail working thing is dangerous...

This is a bracelet that many of you may have seen or even tried on before. This was the first item I wanted to talk about because it was the first thing that came to mind when I decided to post my favorite things. The Jan Michaels Art Nouveau bracelet. This has been my favorite for-ev-er. Jan Michaels is a jewelry designer based in San Francisco and every piece is handmade as we order them. To die for in my book.

Clutch Mania

So OK we admit it, we have been so low on clutches for a few weeks now and for this we apologize. We like to think of ourselves as a "go to" for clutches. I am happy to report that we just restocked our shelves with some pretty sweet clutches. For real. I am hyped up about a few of them and I hope that some of you get just as excited. Jeffrey Campbell- Pacific Low. This shoe is seriously adorable and can be carried right into warmer months. It's a metallic pewter color and will go with anything in your closet. Not just your average flat!

I have totally neglected you for the past month. I have ignored you and left you out of a lot of exciting things that have been going on at J.Karma. For this I apologize and hope you can forgive me.

OK, lets get you caught up!

First things first Happy Holidays, Happy New Year, and Happy starting off the new year right!

The Holiday Season can get pretty crazy around here and on top of that a producer from VH1 gave us a ring and wanted to film a segment on handbags for a new reality show! For realzzz! We were excited about this but had to close the shop for a few hours during one of the busiest times of the year! The day came, the cameras and crew blocked the street and it was straight "Hollywood" up in here, but in the end it was a success! I will keep you updated on when to look for us on VH1!

Jeanne and I took a very successful trip to New York and we are VERY excited about all the new products coming for Spring/Summer 2010! Currently we have a small selection of "Spring Preview" bags so come check 'um out!
